Exclusively formulated from plant-based ingredients, the Scented Candles by Officine Universelle Buly use no paraffin and no mineral compounds derived from the petrochemical industry. Their soft, all-natural wax is made up of rice, soy and copra; their wick is pure cotton, ensuring a steady combustion. Perfectly innocuous, the plant-based nature of the waxes picked by Buly enables them to preserve the integrity and the truth of the eight fragrances created with the atmosphere in mind, allowing for the full expression of their strengths and nuances. Carved in marble, the candle’s Buly-stamped “glass” is a luxurious and durable item reminiscent of the splendor of ancient vases, of “hard stone” artefacts from India. Each candle is sheltered by a glass bell that preserves its fragrance and prevents dust and impurities from settling onto the wax. The bell also makes it possible to put out the candle by asphyxiating its combustion. All it takes is covering the candle, as with a snuffer, to silence its perfume. Our candles burn 80 to 100 hours.
